Undercliff Night
The iridescent surface of Undercliff Night evokes the Undercliff as seen by the clear light of a full moon. Always made in limited numbers, Undercliff originated with Michael and Elizabeth Harris and is now in its third incarnation. It is named after the striking Cretaceous landslip complex on the south coast of the island which was the site of the original St Lawrence Studio. Multiple layers of hot colour, gold and silver leaf, canes, straps and coloured glass chips are extensively worked to depict the rocks, trees and foliage from this famous beauty spot.
