A Graal perfume bottle presented to the Queen Mother in 1990, celebrating her 90th Birthday
The Queen's Bowl, a gift from the people of the Isle of Wight, presented personally to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in her Diamond Jubilee year of 2012, and later exhibited in the Royal Collection.
A set of whisky glasses commissioned for King Charles III, then Prince of Wales, on his 70th birthday.
A plate made to mark the Platinum Jubilee in 2022, using Encalmo, the Italian technique of joining two or more sections of glass into one.
How Commissioning Us Works
The four steps

The conversation. Tell us what the piece is for, roughly what you have in mind, when you need it, and what you would like to spend. A photograph of something you like is often the most useful thing you can send.

The design. Timothy will propose a form, a colourway and a technique. For anything unusual he will say plainly whether it can be done, and what the risks are.

The making. Your piece is made by hand at our Arreton studio. For larger commissions you are welcome to come and watch it being made

Delivery. Every piece is signed and dated by the maker, packed by the people who made it, and shipped worldwide.

Lead Times
Glassmaking cannot be hurried, and the annealing alone takes overnight. We recommend contacting us with your ideas for a better idea on delivery times. Christmas and the summer season are our busiest periods, so earlier is always better.
A Note On What Commissioning Buys
Everything here is made by hand, in a working studio, by a 2nd generation world leading glassmaker who has been working from at the furnace for over fifty years. Nothing is painted on, the colour, the pattern and form all happen while the glass is molten and moving, in a matter of minutes, with no second attempt. The only exception being the graal where a considerable amount of cold working time is involved, this can take many many hours.
That is what you are commissioning. Not a surface decorated object, but a piece of art made in one continuous act of skill.
