In acknowledgement of the time-honoured Hanami Cherry Blossom Festival in Japan, turquoise and white powdered glass is applied to a core of hot clear glass, followed by 22 carat gold leaf and glass canes. Small glass ‘murrine’ are then applied to the surface and manipulated to evoke flower blossoms.
