Layers of colour, read as rock in cross-section.
A bag vase in the Green colourway, 15cm tall and 11cm wide, with a full body drawing in towards the opening. A striped layer of coloured glass is pushed over a core of shaped clear glass and stretched as the piece is blown, giving the effect of the strata seen in sedimentary rock.
Unique to Isle of Wight Studio Glass, Stratum takes at least two glassmakers and a good deal of studio time, so output is limited and no two pieces band alike. Hand-made in our Arreton studio and never mass-produced. Not in stock? We will make it for you: contact the studio for timing.
Care: wash by hand in luke warm water with a little washing-up liquid and dry with a soft cloth. Not dishwasher safe.
